This newcomer out of South Africa, known as Apple Jazz, jumps headfirst into the Deep House scene w/ his premier release on RealDEEP Recordings entitled the “Seeds of Life EP”. This blistering 3 track EP is oozing w/ the forgotten magic of early 90’s deep house, proving once again that house music is a feeling unbounded by space and time. Headed straight for the dance-floor is “More Than Just a Feeling”. From the minimal, swinging drums to the stabbing synths and soulful vocals, this tune is sure to become a classic! Stoking this Ep even hotter is “Living In Paradice”. This instrumental gem plugs right into the RealDEEP socket, working spacey synth lines w/ blue-note piano riffs, creating a masterpiece of deep house. Bubbling up from the deepest corners of your soul is “Sweet Taste of Champayne”. This track further showcases Apple Jazz’s skills on the keys, wisely and poetically laying each verse. Bjak presents the “Soulstice EP” RealDEEP Recordings [RDR005] : Release Date 06.23.2009

Bjak returns once again to bring more fire to the plate this summer with RealDEEP’s fifth installment, the “Soulstice EP” [RDR005]. This sizzling 3 track EP heats up with the sun “High in the Sky”, a forceful and driving yet organic and dubby four on the floor, great for those difficult transitions. Changing up the pace is “Secret Garden”, a cinematic, broken-beat orchestration, rich in lush keys and searing percussion. Rounding out the EP is “Dusk”, a darker, more heavily layered track, rich in piano and riddled with tweaked-out synth leads. Another hot release from the RealDEEP camp!

BCBG presents the “MUXICARIA ep” RealDEEP Recordings [RDR004] : Release Date 04.01.2009

Some of Soul Foundation’s finest have teamed up to bring you another RealDEEP journey in sound entitled the “MUXICARIA EP, by RealDEEP recording artists Brian Gardner & Bjak (otherwise known as “BCBG” ) and featuring the vocals and production talents of Brenda D. These three skillful musicians have shared the decks at some of the hottest underground & club events across the country for well over a decade, and they’re now harnessing this energy and experience in the studio to bring a fresh new direction to RealDEEP’s swiftly expanding library. This 4 track EP starts off with “Feelin’ Moved” by Brian G. & Brenda D., a chunky, oldskool Chicago deep houser, rich in dubbed out vocals, pulsing organs and thick, swinging drum-lines. Next up, strap on your seatbelt for “Libra Rising”, by Bjak & Brian G. This track layers up the pads which swirl and rise to a frantic climax…and just when you think you can’t get any higher, hold on tight. Track three, “So Good”, comes straight out of the BCBG vaults and sends the EP into a much funkier direction while still keeping true to that RealDEEP sound. Capping off the EP is “So Blue”, another Brian G. & Brenda D. original. This is a warm late night thunker, characterized by Brian’s signature drum programming and plush keyboards as well as vocals and additional production by Brenda D. The “MUXICARIA ep” continues in the RealDEEP tradition by bringing you yet another quality installment of unique and original deep house music, sure to please even the most discriminating eardrums.

Bjak presents: “The ConTexTures EP” RealDEEP Recordings : RDR003 : Release Date 02.19.2009

RealDEEP Recordings is back at it again, with another quality 4 track deep house amalgam by artist Bjak, entitled “The ConTexTures EP” [RDR003]. This release further explores the diversity of this artist’s sound, offering up four uniquely distinct, yet cohesive compositions. “Gimme All Ur Love” is a sexy mid-tempo groover driven by haunting sax riffs, bongos and serenading vocals. The second movement, “Besa la Brisa” is a dreamy, twilight excursion into music, conjuring images of flamenco by moonlight. Sending your *ss straight back to the dance-floor is “Set Ur Body Free”, a melodic body mover driven by a stompy kick, sultry vocals and rolling bass lines. Sinking the EP deeper is “Spirit”, a rhythmic and whirling builder, showcasing Bjak’s signature blend of warm, dubby keys, sizzling percussion and dark pads. This EP is another balmy edition to RealDEEP’s rapidly expanding musical mélange.

Bjak & Julio Bishop pres. “The Essensual EP” [RDR002] : Release Date 01.22.2009

RealDEEP Recordings’ second release showcases the combined talent of recording artists Julio Bishop and Bjak. This dynamic duo has been rocking dance- floors together world wide for over 10 years and have now finally joined forces in the studio to create “The Essensual EP”, a fiery 3 tracker that is sure to keep the Deep Housers on their toes. “HotBox” and “Fashion” blur the boundaries between the classic sounds of Chicago/Detroit/NYC to create two dancefloor bombs which have already seen play from some of the masters. “DarkMelodie” is a much deeper and moodier piece, distinctly characteristic of the RealDEEP sound. Definitely another important release in our label’s repertoire…enjoy!
