This scorcher of an EP hits 0-120bpm in one second flat with “MFFM” (Music Forever, Forever Music), an uplifting and moody track soaked in lush chords, driving basslines and a flute riff proven to call all deep heads to attention. Bringing up the pace a bit is another tasty treat entitled “Sweet Tooth”. Simmered with stabbing synths & bass-lines and glazed with spicy congas & keyboard riffs, this track will sugarcoat any dancefloor. Inspired by his life-long love of music, Cesar brings us “Lifetime”. Swelling strings and and ghostly organs impregnate this body-mover with an epic message of life, love & music. Finishing off the Ep in style is “Downside”. Pumpy drums and charging synths are soothed by pensive strings and dubby key riffs, making this the perfect B-side, chill-out track.

With drum-kits and bassline reminiscent of a Frankie Knuckles classic, carried by a dancing flute-line & driven by a perced-out organ, Derek pulls off this classic sound like only a true Chicago House veteran can! “Side B” sees a remix by seasoned RealDEEP recordings artist Bjak, who adds his own characteristic twist to Derek’s classic mix. With the addition of warm keyboards, funky clavs, stabbing synth lines & organic percussion, Bjak adds his signature sound to Derek’s orignal mix, turning up the energy and turning the hands of time about 10 years forward into Chicago’s underground sound.
